The Organizing Committee cordially invites researchers, scientists, practitioners, and policy makers to submit abstracts for the IUFRO-VAFS’s conference “Sustaining Acacia Plantations in a Dynamic Changing World.”

The conference aims to provide a platform for sharing scientific knowledge, practical experience, and innovative solutions to enhance the resilience, productivity, and sustainability of Acacia plantations under global uncertainties and environmental change.

We welcome original abstracts on topics including, but not limited to, genetics and tree breeding, silviculture and plantation management, forest health and protection, wood processing and utilization, forest economics, policy and governance frameworks. All submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Accepted contributions will be presented as oral or poster presentations, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange toward sustainable Acacia plantation development.

II. Formatting and font style

  • Main font: Times New Roman

  • Title: Font size 14 pt (Unicode), uppercase, bold, centered.

  • Author’s name and affiliation: Font size 12 pt (Unicode), centered, author’s name in lowercase, not fully capitalized.

  • Abstract content: Font size 12 pt (Unicode), justified.

  • Keywords: Font size 12 pt (Unicode).

  • Line spacing: Single line spacing (1.0).

  • Required format: .docx; PDF files are not accepted for the initial submission (for editing convenience).

III. Structure

  • Title: Concise and clear, should not exceed 20 words, accurately reflecting the content of the research.

  • Author and affiliation: Including the author’s name, affiliation, and email of the corresponding author.

  • Abstract content: No more than 300 words, presented as a single paragraph, including sections:

  • Introduction/background/objective: Context, reasons for conducting, and objectives of the research, etc.

  • Materials and methods: Main methods, research area, experimental design or analytical approach.

  • Results and key outcomes: Present the key findings of the research, including quantitative or qualitative evidence; this section should comprise at least 50% of the abstract content.

  • Conclusions/implications/recommendations: Briefly presents the significance or implications of the research results (optional).

  • Keywords: Provide 3-6 keywords, arranged in alphabetical order.
